Maybe that's why it is in my own personal vocabulary to "Melinda" something when it't over the top outstanding. I felt the same was last year when I recieved "proficient" for my evaluations. Especially when you make a checklist of all the things you are doing it makes it seem like "exemplary" is only achievable if you have one of those Harry-Potter time turners and can add several extra hours to your day. What I took from being ranked "proficient" was that yes I was only a first year teacher and there has to be room for growth. I also have set a lot of goals involving more involvement and better assessments to reach the ever elusive "exemplary." You are exemplary in my eyes! Now I need to go "Melinda" the heck out of some lesson plans ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
